The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage provides visitors with a chance to observe and even interact with elephants. You will be able to feed a baby elephant with a bottle of milk & witness them playing and bathing in the river with the herd. You will be picked up from Colombo Habour and driven to Pinnawala Elephant orphanage ( Pick-up from the cruise ship terminal can be arranged on one week prior notice)

Arrive at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Pinnawala elephant orphanage is the place which bears the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. Known as the captive breeding place for wild Asian elephants, this orphanage provides the shelter to diseased, wounded and disabled elephants since 1975. There are more than 80 elephants have gained their birth at Pinnawala elephant orphanage up to date.

After exploring the area you will be able to witness bathing of the elephants at the river nearby at Sharing time with an elephant’s life will be a memorable experience in your life.
