This overnight trekking tour offers guests an opportunity to experience what it is like to live in an ancient isolated village which is situated deep in the Knuckles Wilderness, where the local people have maintained their traditional and cultural attitudes towards the forest’s existence. One of the most unbelievable aspects of the remote village of Meemure is the fact that it is completely isolated and has no forms of communication whatsoever.

Itinerary
DAY 1
KANDY / MEEMURE
08:40
After collecting memorable photographs of the nature, you will arrive at the Campsite for breakfast.
10:00
You will start your nature expedition to Meemure village with your guide. During this tour you will experience some water activities with fun and explore the authenticity of the Meemrure Village and the traditions of the village people.
13:30
You will experience a traditional Sri Lankan lunch at a village house.
15:00
After sharing the experience of the village people, you will start your journey back to the campsite.
DAY 2
MEEMURE / KANDY
08:30
After breakfast, you will do river base trekking to seven waterfalls with 3 water activities.
05:00
You will be picked up from your Hotel and transferred to Hunnasgiriya where you will meet your nature guide and start a memorable ride to Meemure village.
06:00
Arrive at Hunnasgiriya where your first part of the adventure begins at 1000m above sea level. You will explore the hill country attractions including some old tea estates and remaining of the villages that were occupied by the tea estate workers during the colonial era.
08:00
Your journey will continue to South Range Office of knuckles which is a scenic place with an educational value. Passing well-grown pine estates and graceful waterfalls, you will reach Corbett gap.
16:00
Arrive at the campsite for Evening tea. After tea you will relax and enjoy the pleasure of the surrounding environment.
19:00
Sit closer to the bon fire and enjoy the BBQ dinner. After the dinner you will spend the night at a standard tent in the campsite.
12:00
Return to the campsite for Lunch.
13:30
Check out from the campsite and proceed to the location where you will start another memorable trekking tour to mini worlds' end.
17:00
You will arrive at Hunnasgiriya where you will meet your driver who will drop you at Kandy city or at the hotel you plan to stay overnight.

- Children 10 Years and younger are not recommended.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- This activity is subject to cancellation based on inclement weather. Activity can be rescheduled or the payment could be refunded.

- To receive a full refund, travelers should cancel before 24 hours of the experience starting date in the local time zone. No refunds will be given after that time period.

- Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
- Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Kandy hotels. Please arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation.
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- Be prepared for uneven surfaces at the sites visited which may be difficult for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
