Negombo - Negombo
On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted by your very own chauffeur guide and transferred to Negombo. (Approx. 30 min. drive). On arrival in the hotel, spend the day at leisure relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities. Spend overnight at a Hotel in Negombo on Bed & Breakfast Basis.
2 Day
Negombo - Negombo
Today, after an early breakfast at the hotel you will proceed to do Wetland bird-watching tour in Muthurajawela Sanctuary. Returning back to your hotel, you will spend the evening at leisure. Late evening you will arrive and board a beautifully decorated ferry to embark on your romantic dinner. The ferry is lit with natural lanterns as you glide around 300-500 meters at a low speed along the scenic river. Surrounded by mangrove vegetation, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you are served by a personal butler, a chef and a ferryman. You can select any of the three specially designed 4-course dinner menus with a choice of seafood, meat or Sri Lankan/Eastern specialties. Negombo - Kandy
Today after breakfast at the hotel you will proceed to Kandy. On arrival in Kandy, you will do a city tour including Temple of the Tooth Relic. Kandy, also Known as the hill capital or Hill country, is the last stronghold of Sinhalese kings after Portuguese, Dutch and British ruling periods. To the Buddhists of Sri Lanka and the World, Kandy is one of the most sacred sites as it is the home of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. The Bahirawakanda Buddha stature that is known as big Buddha is one of the most scenic places in the city. This tour covers both these historical temples and reach Kandy Lake. The Kandy Lake that was built by king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1807 is one of the major highlights in the city. Doing an upper lake drive by a TukTuk is a scenic and memorable ride. Today Kandy is the center of Buddhism, Arts, Crafts, Dancing, Music and Culture. Evening you will proceed to witness cultural show. Kandy cultural show captivates your ears and eyes with spectacular displays of local culture and art. You will see drummers, fire dancers, and more in a cultural spectacle covering various aspects of Sri Lanka’s traditions in this one-hour show. Your train journey takes you on a scenic ride through some of the most beautiful highland countryside areas in Sri Lanka. Watch the brilliant greens carpets of the tea plantations. See the picturesque villages with misty mountain backdrops pass by. Peer through drizzle and mist to look at the magical landscapes of Hill Country. Enjoy the amazing sights of intimidating mountains, deep and dark woodlands, and magnificent waterfalls as they go by your windows. Haputale - Haputale
After breakfast, you will visit Adisham Bungalow. Adisham is a monastery run by Benedictine Monks. It is also named as St. Benedict’s monastery. The pages of history reveal that the creator of this enthralling place is Sir Thomas Lister Villiers. Sir Thomas was born in 1869 in Adisham, an ancient village which lies in the hollow of the Kent country side. Wrapped in the tranquility of the misty hills, Adisham Bungalow attracts every eye that falls on it. In the afternoon you will do a TukTuk tour to Lipton's Seat. Proceed with an exciting TukTuk tour through the tea plantations and narrow roads to the Poonagala hill which is one of the most impressive viewpoints of Sri Lanka known as Lipton’s seat. The place gets this name after the famous tea planter Sir Thomas Lipton used this place to survey the surrounding region of his tea plantations. It is a panoramic overlooking destination in Sri Lanka. Several lakes, sacred mountain of Weda hiti Kanda, Hambanthota harbor located in the in the southern coastal area can be seen remarkably. Tangalle - Katunayake
Today, after breakfast, you will proceed to Airport via Galle. If time permits you can do a city tour in Galle including Galle Dutch Fort. Galle Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1588, and then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work was done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, you will be driven to Airport for your flight back home.
