You will be warmly greeted by your personal chauffeur guide at the Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport or pick-up from selected cities and transferred to Ella by Train. Enjoy endless views of waterfalls tea carpeted mountains on your way. You will be around 3.30pm at Ella. Once arrived, check in to your hotel. Refresh your souls. Enjoy a stunning night walking tour in the city of Ella. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Ella.
07:30: After a tasteful breakfast, you will be transferred to Demodara Railway through a hideout route which lies between tea estates, where you will start a railway trekking about 4 km to witness Nine Arch Bridge - once of the iconic bridges in Sri Lanka. While your trekking, you will visit rail knot, rail monuments, 2 bridges such as 3 arch bridge and 4 arch bridge. Don’t forget to ask the nice stories behind these sites from your guide whilst your walking trip. Take a fresh bath at Demodara River. Have a cup of pure Ceylon tea at Asanka Café where you will also be able to capture breath-taking views of Ella. Lunch is provided at a Local Restaurant. Following Lunch, start your hike to Little Adam’s peak - most famous tourism activity in Ella. As there is a similarity to the peak of the sacred Adams Peak where the foot print of Lord Buddha is preserved, this was named as the Little Adam’s Peak. You will walk through lush green tea plantations, and paddy fields while enjoying the sceneries. Witness the people who are plucking and collecting tea leaves in their estates. After 45-50 minutes easy hike, you will enjoy the panoramic view of the entire southern plain from the summit. Dinner and overnight at a private campsite in Ella.
After enjoying an early breakfast, you will visit Rawana Cave and Rawana Waterfall which are legendary jewels that goes back to the era of Ramayana. It believes that this cave is the place where the demon king - Rawana, held Sita captive in the Ramayana stories. Measuring 25 m in height, this cascading waterfall is glorious to watch during the rainy season. When finished Ravana sites visit, head to a village house in Ella. Enjoy a traditional village house lunch and spend couple of hours at leisure exploring the wonderful nature around you. Start your next adventure session, to visit Crystal Blue Water Cave Crystal Blue Water Cave (Nil Diya Pokuna), which is an underground pond in a cave near Ella. Semicircular shape pond came into witness as you will turn your torches towards it. Light bluish color water in the pond was completely still and must have been the clearest natural water as far as you will have seen. It’s possible to stand up in some area of the pond. Towards the other side of the pond, it gets deeper and deeper. Opposite side of the pond is bounded by a rocky wall. You will spend about at 03 hours near the pond. Finally, you will follow the same path on our way back to come out of the cave. Move back to the campsite. In the evening, enjoy a BBQ dinner around a campfire where you can listen to stories told about the Ella by your very-own guide. Dinner and overnight at a private campsite in Ella.
After a good night’s sleep and an early breakfast start your 4th adventure day. You will proceed to visit Diyaluma waterfall which is Sri Lanka`s most beautiful waterfall and the second highest. Reach to the starting point where the trek starts. It will take you about 20 minutes to trek to the falls over a dry rocky river bed. Legend has it that the gods created this waterfall to weep forever over a tragic, princely love affair gone bad. Once arrived to the upper Diyaluma, you will do confident jump in the infinity pool experience with safety. On completion, you will climb down. Savor the tea arrangement from a village family in the area whilst sharing your experience with them during your stay in their village. Afterwards, you will go ahead to start a memorable trek to Bambarakanda Waterfalls which is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka with a sheer drop of 263 meters. Enjoy lunch in an outside restaurant en route. You will trek passing some small mountain villages and valleys. The area around Bambarakanda is rich with scenic beauty, rugged terrain, waterfalls, tea fields and cool climate making it an attractive destination for nature lovers. This is not a wide waterfall but drops as a thin line from a rocky outcrop. Later you will be transferred to Belihuloya. Soon arrived, visit Surathali Ella, a 45-feet-hight waterfall which offers most gorgeous surroundings for rock climbing in rappelling. Normally, the water flow is in its full bloom from the end of October to February. When finished your waterfall expedition, move to your hotel in Belihuloya. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Belihuloya.
Having discovered the undiscovered treasures in Ella, you will be transferred to Airport or drop at your hotel in Colombo, Negombo or Mount Lavinia and conclude the journey!
