Get picked up from your hotel in Habarana and travel into the lush Sri Lankan countryside by Safari Jeep

Meet your local guide at the trekking starting point and stroll through the tiny rural village of Hiriwadunna. Find the man made reservoir, surrounded by scrub jungle and a hive or morning activity. You will enjoy a bullock cart ride through the paddy fields.

Arrive at a Village house and witness some Traditional cooking tips and see the Chena cultivation followed by an authentic Sri Lankan Lunch.

Hop into a boat and sail to the other side of a lake. look out for birds, butterflies, and perhaps even a crocodile as well as the villagers fishing or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake.

Village life,cooking and great food. We had a great time here , experiencing how village life could be. Our hostesses were very friendly and explained how food was prepared and we had a great time joining in.The food prepared was delicious and plentiful. A really enjoyable experience.

Unique experience Aug 2022 We were not expecting what eventuated but once we settled in we had a great experience. A bullock cart ride, walk, canoe excursion and lunch at a Sri Lankan farmhouse were all a part of the experience. Lunch was at the farmhouse where we experienced the cooking as well as the traditional foods of the villagers complete with no utensils and a Lilly pad as a plate.
