You will enjoy some interesting visits to local villages, national parks, monasteries and enjoy land master rides, train journeys, boat rides and many more sightseeing activities during this tour. This tour will give you a real-life experience of a Sri Lankan and make you feel very comfortable with community and the environment. Itinerary

You will be picked up from airport or your hotel in Colombo, Negombo and Mount Lavinia and driven to Mud house (approx. 2 hours drive) All locally guided excursions and activities for the duration of the stay are provided free of charge. These may change depending on the season or other local factors but a range will always be offered, including: picnic trips, temple visits, bird watching walks, nature trails, lake kayaking, local historical sights and cooking lessons. Overnight stay at the Mudhouse. Your stay is on Full board basis
After breakfast, you will be able to enjoy some exciting activities with the Mudhouse crew. Enjoy Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Mudhouse.
After breakfast, you will be taken to Wasgamuwa National Park which is one of the least visited national parks in Sri Lanka. The Wasgamuwa National Park has a history of being the place to observe the Sri Lankan Sloth Bear and still remains a haven for these highly endangered animals, though sightings are very rare. It is also noted for its diversity in terms of flora and fauna. On arrival you can check in to Lavendish Wasgamuwa Safari lodge. In the afternoon you will be able to enjoy a safari at the National Park. You will observe the natural wilderness of Wasgamuwa National Park in all its raging glory, untamed beauty, and unmatchable splendor during this safari experience. Overnight stay at Lavendish Wasgamuwa Safari lodge. Your stay is on Half board basis
After breakfast, you will be taken to Mahiyanganaya where you will enjoy a visit to Dambana Vedda village. The population of these indigenous 'Veddha' people now consists of only about 350 families, a number significantly reduced from a once thriving community. The 'Veddha' are so influenced by the imposing dominant culture that they risk losing their traditions and what has been their livelihood for centuries. Visitors to this fascinating village have the opportunity to meet and chat with the people who live there, learn about their traditions, and gain a unique insight into their way of life. On completion of this visit, you will be driven to Galoya Lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure and enjoy the surrounding nature on a guided walk. Overnight stay at Galoya Lodge. Wake up early and have your breakfast before starting the morning safari by Boat. Enjoy the only experience in Sri Lanka that allows you to spot wildlife from the water. It’s a unique way to immerse yourself in the animals’ habitats. With a little luck you could spot elephants swimming between islands or bathing at the lake’s edge. A 2-3 hour safari by boat, and a scenic 40 minute drive from the lodge to the lake is perfect to explore the national park and surrounding villages. Arrive back to your hotel and proceed to Tree tops Jungle lodge in Buttala. Overnight stay at Tree tops Jungle lodge. Your stay is on Half board basis
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Mirissa kade junction where you can start your journey to a village with a land master ride. 10:00: Reach to the Chena and you will be provided traditional welcome drink before proceeding with Chena activities. Here you may have the opportunity to pluck fresh vegetables by your own for the lunch. 11:00: You can do a boat safari in nearby lake, which enables you to enjoy the views of birds and wild animals around the lake while enjoying a child beer / Fruit Juice 12:30: Experience Sri Lankan village lunch at mud house with curd for dessert. 13:30: You can Plant a tree as your environmental contribution. The tree will be looked after by us to make sure that it becomes a part of the beautiful nature in the area. 14:00: There is a small hike which will bring you to a viewpoint, where you will see the whole area of the village and experience your herbal tea from there. 16:00: Come back to the lake and view the sunset for a while. 17:00: You will be taken back to the lodge. After breakfast, you will board the train from Ella Railway for a scenic train journey to Haputhale station. On arrival to Haputale town, start the walk to the Adhisam Bungalow. You will walk by passing the tea plantations, jungles and villages who are selling the strawberries long the way. Adisham is a monastery run by Benedictine Monks. It is also named as St. Benedict's monastery. The pages of history reveal that the creator of this enthralling place is Sir Thomas Lister Villiers. Sir Thomas was born in 1869 in Adisham, an ancient village which lies in the hollow of the Kent country side. Wrapped in the tranquility of the misty hills, Adisham Bungalow attracts every eye that falls on it. On completion of the visit, you will be taken to Belihuloya. Overnight stay at Glenrock Resort. Your stay is on Half board basis
After breakfast, you will start your walking trail to the ancient Buddhist temple in the village with your guide. The temple has a history that runs back to 1521-1581 A.D. and the walk to the temple is through beautiful paddy fields and the friendly welcoming breeze that blow through. (Unpaved muddy path and possible leech bites can be expected) You will spend the afternoon at leisure. In the evening you will enjoy your BBQ dinner at roof terrace or by the river. Overnight stay at Glenrock Resort. Your stay is on Half board basis
After breakfast, you will be driven to Colombo or airport for your flight back home.
